Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

Sweet, juicy strawberries dipped in a rich coating of smooth, dark chocolate. If you crave something sweet after dinner, these little beauties will definitely hit the spot, and they’re so easy to make. I used sugar-free 70% cacao dark chocolate and couldn’t tell the difference from the regular sugary variety. Just 4 small squares was more than enough to generously coat 8 large strawberries, for a total calorie count of 100 calories. That’s right – you can eat the whole lot in one go if you want. (I did!)


4 small squares dark chocolate
8 very large strawberries


  1. Cut the bottom off each strawberry so it has a flat base
  2. Put chocolate in a small bowl and microwave for 90 seconds on high
  3. Chocolate will still be in squares, but they should be very soft. Stir squares with a teaspoon until chocolate is completely melted and smooth
  4. Dip each strawberry into chocolate and swirl to get a nice thick coating on the top
  5. Stand coated strawberries on a plate and refrigerate until chocolate has set.
  6. Enjoy!

Additional Notes

Did you know: Dark chocolate is a good source of antioxidants and monounsaturated fat, and is actually considered a health food. Woo hoo!
